Welcome to St Luke’s!

On behalf of the children, staff and governors of St Luke’s C of E Primary School, I would like to welcome you to our school website. It has been designed to give you helpful information and an insight into what life is like at our wonderful school.

St Luke’s is a primary school based across two sites (infants and juniors) where all children are valued and supported. The staff work as one team across the sites, creating two learning communities, joined by one vision. It is a great privilege to be Headteacher of such a wonderful school community and one that continues to grow and develop constantly.

At St Luke’s, our vision of ‘Successful Learners, Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens’ is the centre of our curriculum. I believe that a child’s time in primary school should help shape them into positive role models whilst giving them the tools to be successful. We strive to foster a love of learning through a relevant, creative and personalised curriculum that is progressive and promotes mastery of key skills and concepts.

Having high expectations and aspirations for all children at our school as well as providing enriching and stimulating opportunities for them is what drives us forward in supporting them reach their potential.

As a Church of England School, we promote Christian Values and support the children to be reflective, compassionate and respectful whilst exploring the world around them. We have strong links with our local parish of Winton, Moordown and Charminster and enjoy the richness that this adds to our school. Our core values of ‘Love, Courage and Respect’ underpin our school life and support the school’s vision.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have. Alternatively, please call the office to arrange an appointment or school tour.
